Caretaker govt increases petrol price by Rs7.54

As indicated by an announcement issued by the fund service late on Saturday, OGRA had proposed an expansion in the cost of petroleum by Rs7.54 per liter, diesel by Rs14 per liter, lamp fuel oil by Rs3.36 per liter and light diesel oil by Rs5.92 per liter.

Refering to the “tight monetary position”, the administration declared to pass on “the full effect of the expansion to the purchasers”.

“The expansion in the oil costs is caused because of increment in oil costs in universal market and devaluation of rupee against US dollar,” read the announcement.

The money related effect of the above administration will be executed through amendment of offers impose rates and oil improvement demand.
